Sculptures

Sewell’s sculptural practice moves between physical and virtual realms. Mirror-polished steel spheres, medium size, reflect their surroundings while evoking celestial bodies and thresholds of perception. In contrast, her monumental XR sculptures expand into the digital sky as vast, ephemeral forms. Alongside these, the intimate dorodango spheres—hand-formed and burnished from earth—offer a grounding counterpoint. Across scales and materials, Sewell’s spheres explore reflection, levitation, and the dialogue between the tangible and the transcendent.
