Luminary Soundscape —composed from real sounds recorded by NASA’s Voyager spacecraft as it travelled around planets in our solar system. Using frequencies gathered from magnetic fields, plasma waves, and planetary atmospheres, artist Karen Sewell re-sculpts fragments of Voyager recordings into a single, meditative sound environment. Transforming cosmic data into resonance and atmosphere, Luminary Soundscape invites the listener into the quiet harmonies of deep space — a contemporary meditation on the ancient music of the spheres.
